My journey
My background
I am fortunate to work in fascinating, challenging, and unexpected settings.
Steven Flannes, Ph.D.
Licensed Psychologist
PSY 7139
Early in my career, I worked in clinical settings, both as a provider and an operations leader. As I encountered the business side of these operations, I was intrigued by the idea of taking the people skills I applied in my clinical experiences into the worlds of business and non-profit organizations.
Three key mindsets guide my work:
-
Interpersonal skills can be defined, demonstrated, and practiced.
-
Small improvements in these skills in our personal or work life can pay disproportionately big dividends in our attitudes and performance.
-
These tumultuous times in which we live demand that we develop emotional and intellectual resilience to flourish amid the chaos, uncertainty, and change.
